FAQ
Is it really free? Any watermark?
Free, no watermark, no usage limit. All 72 video tools, AI editing and AI creation need no account. Only the server-powered features require signing in, and those have a daily free allowance.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the page and edit; the project is saved in your own browser.
Will my video be uploaded?
No. Editing, compressing, converting and exporting happen in your browser. Files are uploaded only when you choose "save to cloud", "4K cloud render", or ask the AI to listen to a segment — and then only to your own account.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, with the same features. The one exception is screen recording: mobile browsers do not support it, so that button is hidden there.
How large a file can it handle?
No limit is set. The ceiling is your device's memory. If a file does not fit, you are told plainly and given options; the project is not lost.
Which formats are unsupported?
WMV/ASF, FLV, RM/RMVB, MPEG-PS and DRM-protected files. AVI opens but is slow because it must be transcoded in software.
Can I use exported videos commercially?
Videos made from your own material belong to you; we claim no rights. Built-in templates, stickers and characters are free to use. Material from others remains under its original licence.
Can I back up a project?
Yes. The editor can package a project together with its assets into a single file; import it on another device to continue. No account needed.
How does it compare to CapCut Web?
The interface follows CapCut, so it feels familiar. The differences are no signup, no watermark, and local processing instead of uploading.
Can I embed it in my own site?
Yes. A single script tag embeds the editor into any page. It runs on our domain inside an iframe for isolation, and access is gated from the admin side.
What can the AI do?
Trim, add subtitles, add transitions, effects and filters, add animated characters, build scenes, apply templates, export — anything the interface can do by hand. It can also build a video from nothing when you have no footage.
What can the AI not do?
It cannot generate live-action footage of real people, cannot restore quality or do super-resolution, cannot remove existing watermarks, and cannot identify people in a video.
