iPhones record MOV with H.265 by default. Inside Apple's world that is fine, but send it to an Android friend or upload it somewhere and you often get "format not supported".

Will the file get bigger?
Somewhat. H.265 compresses better than H.264, so the same quality needs more space afterwards — typically thirty to fifty per cent more. Lowering the quality a little offsets it.
Can it handle Live Photos?
The MOV exported from a Live Photo converts like any short clip. But "live" is a feature of Apple's Photos app — afterwards it is simply a short video.
Will it be slow on an iPhone?
Short clips are fine. Several minutes of 4K may run out of memory partway, in which case the page says so and suggests a computer or a lower resolution.
