Animate with keyframes
Keyframes are values pinned to moments on a timeline, so they only exist once there is one. The full editor supports them with easing — this page takes you there with your file.
A keyframe says "be this at this moment". Two of them make something move. Neither idea means anything without a timeline.
The editor keyframes position, scale, rotation, opacity and volume, with easing between them rather than flat linear moves.
Eased keyframes are sampled densely on export, so a curve stays a curve instead of being flattened into straight lines.
FAQ
What can be keyframed?
Position, scale, rotation, opacity and volume.
Is there easing?
Yes, and the export preserves the curve rather than straightening it.
Can I copy keyframes between clips?
Yes, in the editor.
Does it slow the export?
Slightly, since those sections are sampled more densely.
Is it free?
Yes.
