Turn a video clip into an animated GIF for free: set the start and end, keep just that part and download — 480 px on the long side at 10 fps by default. No upload, no sign-up, no watermark.

A GIF plays automatically anywhere, needs no tap and can be sent as a sticker. It suits reaction memes, quick how-tos and small animations on a web page.

The first 5 seconds are selected to start with. Change the start and end (or park the playhead and use the button beside each box), click “Keep only this part”, then “Download GIF” at the top right. The download covers everything left on the timeline, so keep the part first. Going past 5 seconds shows a hint but is not blocked.

GIFs come out at 480 px on the long side and 10 fps by default. For smaller or smoother ones, open the full editor and choose 320/480/640 px and 8/10/15 fps in the GIF export; the choice is remembered. Shortening the clip is still the most effective way to cut size.

FAQ

How long can a GIF be?
There is no limit, but GIF compresses poorly, so longer clips get very large very fast. That is why 5 seconds is selected by default and longer ranges get a hint; keep reaction GIFs to a few seconds.
Why is my GIF so large?
GIF has no inter-frame compression — each frame is stored almost whole. Shortening the clip, dropping to 8 or 10 fps and using 320 px on the long side all make it noticeably smaller.
Why do the colours look worse?
Each GIF frame can hold at most 256 colours — a limit of the format itself. Colour-rich footage, gradients especially, shows banding. If realism matters, export an MP4 instead.
Can I make a GIF with a transparent background?
No. The GIFs made here are always opaque; any transparency is dropped.
Does the GIF have a watermark?
No. There is no limit on how many you make, and no sign-up.
