Doing them one at a time is slow. Drag the whole set in, set the parameters once, and let it work. Finished files go straight into the archive so you only download once.
Only one file is processed at a time and the rest queue. That is deliberate — running several encoders at once would freeze your machine, and the queue actually finishes the whole batch sooner.
One failure does not affect the others. Failed files stay in the list with an explanation and can be retried individually; the archive also carries a note saying which ones did not make it and why.
FAQ
How many files can I add at once?
There is no count limit. Because they are processed one at a time, adding more simply means waiting longer — it will not blow up the browser.
Can I stop halfway?
Yes. Each item can be cancelled individually, and so can the whole batch. Whatever finished is still there to download — none of that work is wasted.
Why did some files fail?
Three common reasons: the file is corrupt or incompletely downloaded, the format is unsupported (WMV, FLV), or that particular video is too large for this device. The list says which one applies.
Will the ZIP eat all my memory?
No. The archive is written to disk cache as it goes rather than held in memory, so even a multi-gigabyte batch will not crash the browser.
Can I use different settings per file?
Not in one pass — the settings apply to the whole batch. Run two batches for two sets of settings.
