- Why is reversing slower than other tools?
- Each second has to be decoded from the nearest keyframe before it, flipped, then encoded again. Longer, higher-resolution videos take more time; memory use does not grow with length.
- Can long videos be reversed?
- Yes. Frames are handled one second at a time, so memory does not grow with length. The sound is reversed as a whole, which takes about 230 MB for ten minutes of stereo. 4K sources come out with the long side at 1920. If the device cannot fit it, you are told plainly.
- Does the sound reverse too?
- Yes, picture and sound reverse together. For silence or new music, use the mute or add-music tool afterwards. A few older iPhone browsers cannot encode AAC audio; then the result has no sound, and the page says so.
- Can I make a forward-then-backward boomerang?
- Yes: export a reversed copy, then join the original and the reversed copy with the merge tool.
