Trim a video online for free: type a start and end or take them from the playhead, keep that part and download an MP4 — or cut out a middle section instead. No upload, no watermark.
The most common case: an hour-long screen recording when you only need three minutes from the middle. Select those three minutes, click “Keep only this part”, then “Download video”.
The panel on the right has two boxes, Start and End, in seconds. Drag the playhead where you want and click the button beside a box to take the playhead’s time, or drag the clip edges on the timeline. Switch to “Delete selection” to cut out a middle section and join the ends.
The panel shows the selected length and the total length as you go. After trimming, the preview shows the result; press Ctrl+Z if you do not like it. To do more, click “Open full editor” at the top right — your edit comes along as is.
FAQ
- Does trimming lower the quality?
- The video is re-encoded once, at 1080p and high quality by default, and the difference is rarely visible. To change resolution or quality, open the full editor and set them in Export.
- Can I cut on an exact frame?
- Yes. Type the times directly, or stop the playhead on a frame and take its time with one click; the timeline timecode is shown in frames.
- Can I cut out several parts at once?
- This page handles one range at a time. To split a video into several files, use “Split a video”; to remove several parts from one video, repeat “Delete selection” or open the full editor.
- Can I trim a very long video, say two hours?
- Yes. Once you click “Keep only this part”, the export only processes what is left, so the time it takes depends on the selected length, not the original. Keep 3 minutes and only 3 minutes are exported.
- Is there a watermark? Do I need to sign up?
- No watermark, no sign-up and no limit on how often you use it.
